The Communique signed on October 18th, 2023, by the government of Sierra Leone and the opposition APC has captured widespread global attention, drawing focus particularly from the United Nations.

These encompass human rights, humanitarian aid, environmental sustainability, and international law.

On January 11th, 2024, the UN Security Council will discuss Sierra Leone’s tripartite peace agreement in a closed-door session.

This underscores the gravity of the issues encapsulated in the document and affirms the commitment of the global community, as represented by the United Nations, to engage in constructive dialogue.
