Deputy Trade Minister & Others Received Awards

In a significant display of gratitude
and appreciation for the timely intervention of Sierra Leone, to render
assistance and supports to Guinea after the explosion of their main fuel
terminal on December 18, 2023.
A high delegation from the Republic of
Guinea, led by the Prime Minister Bernard Goumou, were in the country Sierra
Leone, to render their heartfelt gratitude, and appreciation on behalf of
President Col. Mamady Doumbouya, and the people of Guinea, to the President of
Sierra Leone, H.E Julius Maada Bio, for the timely intervention and support
extended to them during their crucial need.
Part of the visit to Sierra Leone, was
also for the Prime Minister, Barnard Goumou, to present prestigious awards on
behalf of president Mamady Doumbouya, and the people of Guinea, to a delegation
of fifteen (15) members from Sierra Leone, cited from;
1. The Petroleum Regulatory Agency. 2.
The Sierra Leone Medical Team. 3. The Nation Disaster Management Agency. 4.
Madam Haja Fatima Wurie, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry (Representative
of the ministry of Trade and Industry, that also deals with petroleum
regulation)
All headed by the distinguished Vice
President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, honored with the ORDRE
NATIONAL DU MERITE and a MEDAL for their pivotal participations and immense
role played to mitigates the December 18, 2023 fire disaster In Guinea.
Acknowledging Madam Haja Fatmata Wurie
by the Government of The Republic of Guinea, in representation of her Boss, the
minister of Trade and Industry, Mr. Ibrahim Alpha Sesay, and the ministry,
continue to testify her outstanding service and dedication to serve humanity
and the agenda of her government, of president Julius Maada Bio.
As part of the delegation in Guinea,
last year, was very much pivotal for her ministry which also contributes
tremendously in the petroleum regulation, and as such, her representation on
behalf of the Ministry and her Boss was unavailable and instrumental.
The deputy minister, Fatmata Wurie,
thanked the government of Sierra Leone, for always being steadfast in
undertaking the needed steps to respond to critical issues of national interest
and also for always giving the ministry of Trade and Industry the necessary
supports to facilitate it mandates.
She thanked the Prime Minister Bernard
Goumou, the president Mamady Doumbouya and the people of Guinea, for
recognizing and appreciating the Government of President Julius Maada Bio for
standing in solidarity with Guinea during their crucial time. Added that, she
is honoured to have received such a prestigious award on behalf of her Boss,
the minister of Trade and Industry, Ibrahim Alpha Sesay, the ministry, and the
people of Sierra Leone.
She described the award as an instalment
of motivation on them to continue elevating the good work of the ministry, the
government of president Julius Maada Bio, and for the people of Sierra Leone,
which they are so humble to continue.
